A glazed stoneware coffee service signed Lebret. 1930s
A glazed stoneware coffee service from Puisaye, signed Lebret (1871-1955), comprising six coffee cups and saucers, a two-handled bowl, and a sugar bowl. 1930s
in perfect condition
*Alfred Lebret developed a commercial collection of cast stoneware, including many models available in several sizes which were very successful: vases, cups, pitchers, teapots, coffee pots.
The enameling is always of excellent quality, most often matte, with a dark base glaze and flows of mixed light colors. Brown and especially cobalt blue backgrounds are particularly prized. Neutral gray-green tones, which allow the colored flows to stand out, are also frequently seen.
